Maintenance Technician

I am currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a busy operational site based in Prescot.
The role:
This position will involve supporting the day-to-day running of the site through a combination of planned maintenance activities and reactive repairs, ensuring equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out preventative maintenance across site equipment and infrastructure
• Respond to maintenance issues and breakdowns as they arise
• Assist with the installation, upgrade and replacement of equipment and systems
• Support general site upkeep including basic plumbing, joinery and repair work
• Help with the movement and setup of equipment within operational and office areas
• Maintain accurate records and maintenance logs in line with quality procedures
• Contribute to site improvements, refurbishments and ongoing projects
• Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with health & safety standards
• Provide general support across the site as required
About you:
Essential:
• Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent)
• 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations
• Experience within a maintenance, facilities or engineering environment
• Strong hands-on approach with the ability to troubleshoot issues
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
• Experience across additional trades (ex: plumbing, joinery, general maintenance)
• Experience working in an industrial, laboratory or regulated setting
• FLT licence (or willingness to obtain)
