Maintenance Engineer - Coventry\n\nSalary: £49,000 (including shift allowance)\n Hours: Panama Shift Pattern\n Holiday: 31 days\n\nWe're looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support our manufacturing site in Coventry. You'll be responsible for keeping production machinery running safely, efficiently, and to the highest possible standard, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of industrial equipment.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs part of the engineering team, you'll take ownership of maintaining plant machinery and supporting production in achieving strong performance and uptime. This includes completing PPM schedules, resolving breakdowns, and ensuring all work aligns with safety, quality, and engineering standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform reactive repairs on machinery and associated equipment in line with legal and industry guidelines.\n\nComplete planned preventative maintenance tasks and document any unusual conditions or issues.\n\nEnsure all repairs meet required standards; escalate outstanding work where needed.\n\nFeed back equipment issues so PPM routines can be improved and kept relevant.\n\nIdentify and implement improvements that help reduce downtime and enhance reliability.\n\nAdjust machine settings to resolve quality issues, ensuring optimal performance and output.\n\nMaintain process integrity by working within defined parameters and production requirements.\n\nUpdate maintenance systems, logs, and handover notes accurately.\n\nProvide clear shift handovers to the next engineer or team leader and ensure spare parts usage is recorded.\n\nConduct production handovers after engineering interventions.\n\nKeep work areas clean, safe, and free of debris, ensuring all waste is properly disposed of.\n\nWork within project and improvement teams to support the introduction and optimisation of new equipment.\n\nFollow all health & safety requirements, including machine guarding and control system procedures.\n\nCarry out any additional duties that support the engineering function.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nSkills & Knowledge\n\nStrong background in industrial electrical engineering.\n\nAbility to fault-find on relay logic and ideally experience with PLC-controlled systems.\n\nUnderstanding of technical drawings and electrical schematics.\n\nKnowledge of compressed air systems, chilled water plant, hydraulics, and pneumatics.\n\nFamiliarity with heavy industrial rotating machinery such as mills, extruders, or similar equipment\n\nExperience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nRandstad CPE values and promotes equality.
