Your new company Due to an increase in workload as we start the new year, one of the prestigious organisations in Edinburgh is looking for an electrician to join their estates department. They oversee hundreds of commercial buildings in and around Edinburgh. They run a multi-trade department, and you will be working alongside other trades and members of the public.Your new role As a maintenance electrician, your duties may include:

Routine inspection and testing of electrical installations around various building types Repairing lighting, sockets, distribution boards and controls Servicing emergency lighting systems, which may include LED upgrades Maintaining generators and UPS systems Restoring power safely in critical areas such as data centres or laboratories Diagnosing electrical failures or power outages General reactive maintenance small worksWhat you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified Electrician with a valid, in-date Gold ECS card graded to Electrician or above.
