Machine Operator

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join the manufacturing team in Rotherham. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability for the right candidate.

Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday - 6:00am - 4:00pm

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating cutting and drilling machinery within a busy production environment. You will work to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all components are produced accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate saws and drilling machines safely and efficiently

Accurately measure, cut, and drill materials to specification

Read and follow technical drawings and job instructions

Conduct basic machine checks and report any faults or defects

Ensure all work meets quality and production standards

Adhere strictly to health & safety regulations at all times

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Meet daily production targets while maintaining accuracyEssential Criteria

Proven experience operating industrial saws and drilling machines

Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

Ability to accurately use measuring tools (tape measures, callipers, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and quality control

Good understanding of health & safety procedures

Reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term work

Able to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable Criteria

Experience working with wood or panel-based materials

Knowledge of basic machine maintenance
