Are you a Credit Service Litigation Solicitor looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a busy Legal 500 law firm with a highly successful litigation practice focusing on debt recovery, based in Bromley, is recruiting a Solicitor with 1+ PQE to join their team. You’ll report directly to the Head of Department, managing defended debt recovery matters and delivering expert advice to a varied client base.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide up-to-date, tailored litigation advice on defended debt recovery cases and related issues
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their processes and commercial drivers
• Manage your own caseload efficiently, from client opening through to matter closure, ensuring all file documentation and system records are accurate
• Assist the Head of Department with supervising paralegals and trainees, and contribute to developing new work streams through marketing and networking activities

About you

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with demonstrable debt recovery litigation experience
• Proven track record handling breach of contract disputes, ideally including utilities, service charges or hire-agreement recoveries
• Familiarity with insolvency processes, charging orders and enforcement actions is a strong advantage but not essential
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise a fast-moving caseload
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with a confident, client-focused approach
