Based in Rotherham Were recruiting a skilled LGV Driver to support the safe and efficient collection of waste and recyclables across residential and commercial areas. You will operate a refuse collection vehicle, lead a small crew, and ensure high standards of customer service and safety at all times. Key Responsibilities Operate a waste collection vehicle safely and efficiently
Lead, supervise and allocate duties to waste collection crew members
Carry out daily vehicle walk-around checks and complete defect reports
Update service information using the Bartec in-cab system
Report contamination, missed collections, and service issues
Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety, Drivers Hours, and environmental regulations
Perform outdoor manual handling tasks in all weather conditions
Record accidents/near misses and conduct dynamic risk assessments
Support other service areas (e.g., highways) when required
Key Requirements Category C Licence
Valid CPC
Experience in waste operations or specialist vehicle handling
Physically fit for manual work in all weather
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to supervise and support a small crew
Good understanding of Health & Safety and environmental practices
Comfortable with basic IT systems (Bartec training provided)
