LGV Waste Collection Driver Class 2 (Category C) Refuse Collection Vehicle (26 tonnes) Council Contract Role We are recruiting an experienced LGV Waste Collection Driver (Class 2 / Category C) to join a household waste collection service operating across the borough. This is a key operational role working as part of a multi-disciplinary council services team, ensuring daily waste collection routes are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with community priorities. Contracted Hours: Tuesday to Friday
37 hours per week
Daily hours: 09.25 per day
Temporary shift pattern: 6:00am 3:45pm until 24th April
Role Responsibilities Drive and operate a 26-tonne refuse collection vehicle
Lead and supervise waste collection crews on daily routes
Ensure completion of daily collection schedules
Manage operational records via paper systems or electronic handheld devices
Full responsibility for Health & Safety compliance on daily tasks
Ensure safe collection of bins and public safety along routes
