Level 2 & 3 Teaching Assistants
Location: South London-Surrey border
Start: May or September 2026
Contracts: Full-time & part-time (flexible)
About the role:
We're working with friendly, well-regarded primary schools and nurseries across the South London-Surrey border area, offering short-term, long-term, and temporary roles.
You'll support pupils from Nursery to Year 6, mainly on a 1:1 or small group basis, including children with mild to moderate SEND.
What you'll do:
Provide 1:1 and small group support (mainly EYFS/KS1)
Help pupils with SEND access learning and build confidence
Support the class teacher and classroom routines
Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
Work with teachers and SEN staff to track progress
Prepare learning resources and activitiesRequirements:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant (or relevant childcare/EYFS qualification)
Experience in a UK primary school
Experience supporting pupils with SEND (especially 1:1)
Strong communication, patience, and flexibility
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)Acceptable qualifications:
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner
Level 2 Certificate in Childcare and Education (CACHE)
Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
Level 2 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
Level 2 Award in Child Development and Care
Level 2 Certificate Introducing Caring for Children and Young People
Level 2 Diploma in Playwork
Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS)
Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (CACHE)
Level 3 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
Level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development
Level 3 Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy - Birth to 7
Level 3 Diploma in Playwork
Level 3 Award/Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS
The Ideal Candidate:
Must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Have recent experience working in a UK primary school setting
Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly in a 1:1 capacity
Demonstrate strong communication, patience and adaptability
Be enthusiastic about supporting children's learning and development
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
