Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2

Croydon | April 13th Start | Full Time

Reeson Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Croydon seeking a committed Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team from 13th April.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN practitioner who is confident supporting pupils with additional needs within a mainstream KS2 setting. The role will involve providing 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access the curriculum and promoting positive engagement and independence.

The successful candidate will:

• Have prior experience supporting pupils with special educational needs in a UK primary school
• Be confident working within Key Stage 2
• Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs
• Implement behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies effectively
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
• Have up-to-date safeguarding training or be willing to complete this
