We are looking for a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join our specialist provision in Barking and Dagenham, supporting learners aged 16 to 19 with complex needs. Day-to-day responsibilities:
Support learners aged 16-19 with complex needs in the classroom and around the setting
Provide personal care as required, ensuring dignity, safety, and wellbeing at all times
Assist the teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
Support students with communication, sensory, physical, and behavioural needs
Encourage independence, engagement, and social development
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and other professionals
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
