Learning Support Assistant

Horizon Teachers are currently working with a Primary School in Lambeth that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in their Year 5 class that requires extra support in their education.
The student you will be supporting has Mild Learning Difficulties, such as Autism and Speech and Language needs, so it would be very beneficial if you have previous experience working within a similar role and experience working within key stage 2.
You will need to be resilient and be able to quickly create a rapport with the child you are working with and the other children within the classroom. This will be a very rewarding role for the right person, starting in September and will run until the end of the academic year, on a full-time basis, and will pay up to £575 per week.
What the school are looking for in their Learning Support Assistants: Previous experience working within a school setting. Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs. Confident working on a 1:1 basis and within small groups of children Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
