About the Role

We are currently recruiting a dedicated, resilient and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN secondary school supporting students with complex Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

This is a hands-on role working with secondary-aged students with very complex needs, and it will involve regular personal care. This may include support with toileting, feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene. Please only apply if you are fully comfortable and willing to provide personal care as part of your daily role.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to help students access education, develop communication and life skills, and feel safe, supported and understood within the school environment. Your patience, empathy and commitment will be essential in helping pupils engage with learning and everyday routines.

This is a specialist secondary provision for students aged 11–19 with severe, profound and complex learning needs. Many pupils have additional medical, sensory, physical and communication needs alongside their diagnosis of ASC, SLD or PMLD.
