Job Title:Learning Support Assistant (16 19 Study Programme)Location:Northwich & CreweSalary: £24kAbout the RoleOur client is looking for a passionateLearning Support Assistantto join their team and support learners aged 1619 to succeed in their education and career pathways.Working closely with tutors and support staff, you will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping learners access the curriculum, develop confidence, and progress towards their goals. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment, particularly for learners with additional needs or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).As theLearning Support Assistantyou will also support learners in accessing work placements, liaising with employers and local authorities to create meaningful opportunities that support career development.Key ResponsibilitiesAs theLearning Support Assistantyou will provide individualised 1:1 learning support to help students engage in lessons and achieve their learning goals.Support tutors in delivering classroom activities, assisting individuals or small groups.Work with learners with EHCPs, ensuring their educational, emotional and physical needs are supported.Encourage learners to develop confidence, independence and self-management skills.Support behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.Maintain accurate records of learner progress, engagement and support provided.Manage a caseload of learners and carry out regular progress interventions.Build relationships with local employers to secure work experience opportunities.Liaise with local authorities and schools/colleges to engage young people in study programmes.Represent our client at school and careers events, promoting study programme opportunities.About YouOur client looking for someone who is enthusiastic, supportive and passionate about helping young people reach their potential.As theLearning Support Assistant- you will have:Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and MathsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to build relationships with learners, employers and partner organisationsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesConfidence using Microsoft Office and digital systemsA proactive and solution-focused approachDesirableExperience working with young people aged 1619Experience supporting learners with additional needs or EHCPsKnowledge of government-funded training or work placement programmesA full UK driving licence and access to a vehiclePaul Feldman is the National Skills Agency Data Protection Officer.
