Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Land Quality Consultant to join Amentum's environmental team in South Yorkshire. This role offers hybrid working arrangements, supporting projects across contaminated land and decommissioning in the environment, energy, and defence sectors.

You will work closely with senior colleagues on site investigations, data interpretation, risk assessments, and remediation design, gaining valuable experience in a highly regulated industry. The position can be based in Harwell, Rotherham, Cumbria, or Birchwood.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Field Work & Data Collection: Conduct site investigations, including soil, groundwater, and gas monitoring, ensuring accurate sample collection and data logging.
  2. Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in interpreting results, developing conceptual site models, and preparing risk assessments for human health and water resources.
  3. Collaboration: Support project teams by following instructions and meeting deadlines.
  4. Regulatory Awareness: Learn and apply UK environmental legislation, guidance, and best practices, including Part 2A, Environmental Permitting, and CL:AIRE DoWCoP.
  5. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow strict health, safety, and environmental procedures to maintain safe working conditions.
  6. Professional Development: Engage in training, mentorship, and personal development to enhance your technical skills.
