Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a primary school in Brent on a full-time, long-term basis from January 2026.\n\nAbout the role\n\nAs the Year 6 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum, with a strong focus on English and Maths. You will support pupils academically and pastorally, helping them build confidence, resilience, and independence as they prepare for transition to secondary school.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPlanning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum\n\nPreparing pupils for SATs and end-of-key-stage assessments\n\nAssessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress effectively\n\nMaintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement\n\nWorking collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents\n\nContributing to intervention planning and pupil progress meetings\n\nAbout the school\n\nThe school is a well-organised and supportive primary school in Brent, with high expectations for teaching and learning. The leadership team provides clear guidance and values teamwork, ensuring staff feel supported and well-prepared in their roles.\n\nRequirements\n\nTo be considered for the role of KS2 Teacher you will:\n\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS)\nPrevious experience teaching Year 6 or Upper KS2\nStrong subject knowledge in English and Maths\nConfidence in assessment, data tracking, and SATs preparation\nCommitment to a full-time, long-term role from January 2026\nSalary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
