The Role and Candidate
As part of our European Commercial team, we are seeking a Key Account Executive (Europe) to support the full commercial lifecycle of POP MART’s European accounts.
You will play a critical role in managing distributor and retail partner relationships, driving commercial performance, supporting launches, ensuring contract compliance, and maintaining day‑to‑day operations across multiple countries.
The ideal candidate is confident in communication, highly organised, proactive, and comfortable navigating both growth conversations and challenging discussions when required.
Responsibilities
Account Management & Partner Relationships
Maintain regular communication with distributors and key accounts, including monthly performance reviews covering sales, forecasts, risks, and opportunities.
Build strong, professional relationships while upholding POP MART’s brand standards and policies.
Conduct annual performance reviews assessing targets, compliance, and strategic improvement areas.
Handle challenging discussions professionally, including:
underperformance reviews
contractual or operational non‑compliance
ending partnerships when necessary (under management guidance)
Ensure all partners adhere to POP MART’s distribution rules, launch guidelines, and brand positioning.
Order & Contract Operations
Manage the full wholesale order cycle: forecasting, PO preparation, allocations, invoicing, and payment follow‑up.
Prepare requests for new contracts, renewals, and amendments to ensure alignment with POP MART’s Distribution Agreement and SOPs.
Track territory, channel, and contract compliance, including pricing, sell‑off periods, and DTC reseller restrictions.
Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, pricing files, trackers, and internal records on Lark.
Commercial Planning & Proposals
Prepare commercial proposals for new clients, new markets, and expansion opportunities.
Conduct business‑case analyses for distributor changes, retail partnerships, and new channel development.
Support evaluation of potential partners, including capability and market assessments.
Launch, Operations & SOP Execution
Coordinate product launches, feature rollouts, allocations, and promotional events with HQ teams and partners.
Ensure full adherence to SOPs while continuously improving workflows and documentation.
Collaborate with Supply Chain to track shipments, ETAs, and resolve logistics issues.
Work closely with Legal and Marketing to ensure compliance with POP MART policies and brand standards.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc sales performance reports.
Analyse sell‑through, stock levels, partner performance, and commercial risks.
Monitor contractual requirements such as Minimum Sales Commitment and escalate risks proactively.
Prepare business review decks, pipeline updates, and internal reporting presentations.
Skills & Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in account management, commercial operations, or wholesale (consumer goods, retail, entertainment, FMCG, lifestyle, toys, etc.).
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with confidence handling challenging discussions.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical capabilities, including proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides.
Comfortable working with operational workflows, order processes, and commercial documentation.
Proactive, solutions‑oriented, and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment.
High level of professionalism when representing POP MART.
Preferred
Experience working with European distributors or international commercial teams.
Understanding of distributor agreements, compliance structures, or contract frameworks.
Experience with SOP‑driven environments and process optimisation.
Interest in pop culture, art toys, collectibles, or designer brands.
Additional European languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian) strongly preferred.
