Junior Sous Chef
to help lead our kitchen brigade, delivering exceptional dishes crafted with skill, creativity and a passion for Scottish produce. The Person: An experienced chef with strong leadership qualities and high culinary Calm, organised and confident when leading a kitchen section or full service A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills Passionate about training and developing junior chefs Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen operations The Role: . Support the Head Chef in leading, managing and motivating the kitchen team Oversee daily food preparation, cooking and presentation to brand standards Maintain smooth kitchen operations, stepping up in the Head Chefs absence Ensure food quality, consistency, cost control and minimal waste Champion health & safety, hygiene and compliance across the kitchen Key Responsibilities: Lead and support chefs during service, ensuring dishes meet specification Maintain kitchen organisation, cleanliness and stock control Assist with scheduling, staffing decisions and performance reviews Collaborate with front-of-house to deliver seamless guest experiences Provide on-the-job coaching and help develop training programmes for junior chefs.
