The Hawkley Inn is looking to recruit a Junior Sous Chef/skilled cook! A friendly Country fresh food led pub. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, making desserts, plating food. - Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff - Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality - Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the Chef - Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets food safety standards - Ensure compliance with inhouse HACCP and food hygiene, health, and safety systems to ensure compliance. - Assist & Support the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen - Competent & confident in training new staff - Proven experience as a skilled Chef or relevant role in a fast-paced kitchen environment - Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils - Ability to follow instructions and adhere to food safety guidelines Willing to work a 40 hour week and at times above if busy periods - Weekend/evening availability essential Competitive pay based on experience - Opportunities for career growth within our organization - Employee discounts on meals - Very generous tip scheme - You will receive all the support and training you need with brilliant career prospects If you are a passionate cook with a dedication to delivering exceptional food, we would love to hear from you.
