Our client is looking for a talented and motivated
Junior Sous Chef / Sous Chef
with a strong passion for
pastry
to join a busy kitchen team in Knightsbridge. This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of pastry while also confidently supporting the
savoury (front) kitchen
when required. Youll play a key role in maintaining high standards and will be trusted to step up and support leadership when senior managers are on annual leave. Working Hours
40-hour working week 2 days off per week Single shifts only
(no splits):
Early shift: approx.

Some flexibility required as hours may vary slightly depending on service Key Responsibilities
Assist in the
design, testing, and implementation of menus , with a focus on pastry Produce
high-quality dishes
with excellent presentation and flavour Support the savoury kitchen to ensure smooth day-to-day operations Manage
inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships Maintain
cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
at all times Monitor kitchen equipment and arrange maintenance when required Contribute creative ideas to improve menu development and service Support senior chefs in leading the kitchen in their absence Uphold and maintain kitchen standards and consistency Skills & Experience Required
Strong knowledge of
food hygiene and safety regulations Experience producing high-quality dishes, ideally with pastry expertise Previous experience supervising or supporting a kitchen team Strong communication and leadership skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Positive, proactive approach with willingness to coach others Ability to manage resources effectively and reduce waste Strong team player with a professional attitude What We Offer
