We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic team within our Aerospace Business Unit, to take the next step in their career journey. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting bids and projects ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess basic project management skills, project planning, customer and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
Support Project Managers on work package(s) or phases within projects, ensuring delivery in terms of quality, cost, deadlines, and performance, under regular supervision.
Assist in organising the project and coordinating resources in line with client commitments and technical and financial constraints.
Contribute to identifying contractual changes and raise alerts in the event of project deviations.
Support the monitoring of project margin and cash position, escalating issues where appropriate.
Participate in the implementation of the project management plan, including technical, quality, organisational, scheduling, and contractual aspects.
Interface with the client, internal departments, and external service providers within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
Carry out periodic reporting in compliance with internal procedures and client requirements, with guidance from senior project staff.
Assist in the allocation of project resources, including identifying needs and supporting onboarding activities.
Promote adherence to delivery standards and contribute to continuous improvement by sharing observations and lessons learned.
Qualifications
HND/degree level within an Engineering, Project Management or Business/Operational Management field
Essential skills
Project Management methodologies aligned with BoK and industry best practice
Supporting the management of cross-functional teams
Engaging and managing stakeholders effectively
Aligning project goals with organisational objectives
KPI Ownership & delivery focus
Project budgets and finances
Desired skills
Recognised Project Management training and qualification
Experience
