PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £31,000 - £38,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Audio Producer to join the BBC World Service Sport team. The primary focus of this role is producing our weekly cricket programme, Stumped and also provides a podcast and YouTube version of the show. As part of the World Service and wider Sport Stories teams you'll also have opportunities to contribute across platforms, ensuring content gets maximum exposure and drive World Service's cricket content.

This role offers the chance to collaborate with a talented team at World Service within the innovative Sport Stories department while working with multiple platforms, including radio, podcasts, and digital media content. . There are opportunities to also work across other output from More than the Score, Sport Today, Sportsworld and Not by the Playbook.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Produce the weekly World Service cricket programme Stumped for radio, YouTube and podcast.
- Collaborate with presenters, contributors, and editorial teams to deliver compelling audio, visual and digital content, working closely with our other BBC departments and external stakeholders (ABC and Akashvani).
- Ensure high editorial standards and compliance with BBC guidelines.
- Support production of other World Service Sport programmes such as Sport Today, More than the Score, Not by the Playbook and Sportsworld.
- Work across the Stories department on audio/video projects as required.
- Use digital tools to promote content and engage audiences online, on video and on social media.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Strong knowledge and passion for cricket globally and an excellent understanding of the target audience , plus interest in global sport.
- Extensive experience producing radio programmes and/or podcasts, adapting to different responsibilities and platform coverage.
- Proven ability to manage production workflows, meet deadlines and work closely with Journalists and Journalism Researchers.
- Excellent editorial judgment and attention to detail, working on own initiative.
- Experience of delivering multiplatform content from on site or remotely
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Experience working on international sports coverage.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in audio and podcast production.
- Ability to contribute to digital video and social media content as part of a multimedia team.
- Creative flair for storytelling across multiple platforms.
