As a Teaching Assistant (SEMH), your primary focus will be to provide tailored support that promotes their academic progress, emotional well-being, and personal development. Your key responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant (SEMH): * Provide 1:1 support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage positively with their learning. * Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policies. * Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive environment. * Requirements for a Teaching Assistant (SEMH): * Experience working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour (in a school or similar setting). * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Relevant qualifications in Education, SEN, or Childcare. * Previous experience in a similar SEMH school setting.
