IT Systems Engineer
Optimum Golf Technologies (OGT) is the exclusive distributor and support centre for the golf industry’s leading trade and consumer technologies across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

The Opportunity
Based in Guildford, Surrey, Optimum Golf Technologies is one of the fastest growing technology companies in the golf industry today.
Thanks to the ongoing growth of the business, we are looking for a dynamic, hands-on IT Systems Engineer. You will be part of the technical support team and report to the Technical Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Your key responsibilities
Take ownership of day-to-day internal IT operations across the business. Provide hands-on support for users, devices, software and core business systems. Act as a key point of contact for IT issues, service requests, troubleshooting and technical guidance. Administer user accounts, permissions and access across Microsoft 365 and related business systems. Lead the IT elements of onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and removal, device provisioning, and issuing or recovering equipment such as laptops, keyboards, headsets and laptop bags. Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and general tenant administration. Support endpoint management through Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, including configuration, compliance and device lifecycle tasks. Maintain and improve endpoint security, controls and access protections, including MFA, Conditional Access and device security policies. Troubleshoot and support core network, Wi-Fi and connectivity issues across the business. Manage IT hardware, software, licensing, procurement and asset tracking. Work with third-party suppliers, partners and support providers to resolve issues and maintain service quality. Create and maintain IT documentation, user guides, procedures and internal standards. Deliver IT improvements and projects that strengthen security, improve user experience and support business growth. Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and process improvement across the IT function.
Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). Industry certifications, such as Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, M365 Administrator. Experience of managing and coordinating outsourced IT providers or MSPs. Ability to: Escalate and track issues through 3rd‑party providers; Validate SLA performance; Challenge and influence external suppliers when needed; Ensure service quality and continual improvement. Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and processes, especially in environments using outsourced or managed service providers (MSPs). Ideally experience of one or more of Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Zoho, TeamViewer or TP-Link Omada networking. Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with technical and non‑technical staff. Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent stakeholder management—confident in guiding, advising, and challenging partners. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Collaborative team player with a customer‑centric approach.
