IT Project Manager\n\nDepartment: Digital, Data & Technology Group\n\nSalary: Starting from £46,735, rising to £55,755\n\nGrade: Grade 8\n\nContract Type: Full Time, Open Ended\n\nClosing date: Sunday 10 August 2025\n\nReference: ML12911\n\nMake an impact driving digital transformation at a leading UK university!\n\nThe University of Bath’s Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department is at the heart of delivering innovative IT infrastructure, products, and services that enable our students, staff, and researchers to achieve their goals.\n\nDo you thrive on leading complex IT projects and turning ambitious ideas into real-world solutions?\n\nThis IT Project Manager role is a key part of the University’s DDaT Team, working with the Lead Project Manager and the Head of IT Portfolio Management.\n\nAs IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of projects from requirements gathering and drafting the business case, to defining the solution that meets our users’ needs, budget management, and delivery schedule, ensuring outstanding delivery through to the in-life management process.\n\nYou will work closely with the Portfolio Management Office to embed and promote project lifecycle management and assurance, and provide effective project reporting as required and requested, both within DDaT and with external stakeholders.\n\nThe IT Project Manager will have responsibility for managing projects, including the management of associated project teams, working together, and reporting progress to a Project Board.\n\nAbout you\n\nWe’re looking for someone who can bring a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
