IT Procurement Lead

Duration: 18 Month contract

Contract Type: Inside IR35 Day Rate

Location: Reading (Hybrid working – 2 days per week)

We’re looking for an experienced IT Procurement Lead who can hit the ground running on a high‑profile enterprise‑scale programme. This role sits at the heart of a major readiness initiative, leading complex supplier negotiations and driving critical commercial outcomes across technology categories.

You’ll work hybrid from our Reading office (2 to 3 days per week) with occasional visits to central London and Dublin.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading IT procurement activity across software, cloud, infrastructure, networks, cyber, and IT services.
• Driving supplier negotiations end‑to‑end: commercial, contractual, and legal.
• Building go to market strategies and securing best in class commercial outcomes.
• Partnering with senior stakeholders across Technology, Legal, Finance, and Programme Leadership.
• Ensuring procurement activity aligns with programme timelines and risk requirements.
• Providing clear reporting, risk insights, and commercial recommendations.

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years’ IT/Tech procurement experience at enterprise scale.
• Strong background in commercial and legal negotiation, including complex, high‑value contracts.
• Ability to operate confidently with senior executives and influence at pace.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A proactive, resilient, self‑starter mindset; able to deliver in a fast‑moving, high‑pressure environment.
• Excellent analytical, commercial, and risk‑assessment capability.
• Ability to travel as required (approx. 20%).
