RSR are currently recruiting for a team of Investigators to work on a full-time contract, at a number of different sites across the UK on behalf of a UK based Police Force.\n \n Please be advised, this is an office based role, so applicants must be able to travel to at least one of the below locations:\n \n Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol & Exeter.\n As well as various London locations: Stratford/ Stockwell/ Baker Street, Kings Cross / St Pancras, Euston, London Bridge, Waterloo Victoria, Stratford, Paddington and Liverpool Street\n \n The role is paying £20.98p per hour (PAYE) \n\nApplicants must hold current security clearance, to level NPPV2/CTC or above.\n \n Role Overview:\n \n The PIP 1 investigator gathers and examines evidence and undertakes investigations relating to volume and priority crime, placing the victim at the centre of all decisions and actions, to ascertain whether a person should be charged with an offence or if a person charged with an offence is guilty of that offence.\n \n Key Responsibilities:\n \n Evidence Collection:\n Collecting and gathering material, intelligence and evidence from a range of sources (including victims, witnesses, suspects, open source, intelligence, digital media and other sources of material) and recording and retaining it in a format that is evidentially admissible.\n \n Interviewing:\n Interviewing witnesses and suspects, applying appropriate interviewing principles and techniques to gather all required information, intelligence and evidence within the criminal law and the legal framework.\n \n CCTV Review & Suspect Identification:\n Includes facial recognition comparisons and officer briefings.\n \n Intelligence Collation:\n Linking offences and preparing intelligence packages to assist arrests, particularly in retail theft and business robbery cases.\n \n Victim Care:\n Completing risk and needs assessments and providing appropriate support for victims during an investigation, through the formulation of a victim plan where required, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the victim.\n \n Case File Preparation:\n Preparing and submitting investigative outcome reports, building case files and managing the disclosure of material to ensure compliance.\n \n Working Hours:\n \n Can start and finish between 8.00am to 18.00pm , compressed hours can be accommodated\n \n Security Clearance:\n \n NPPV2 (Full) required.\n \n Skills, Qualifications and Experience:\n \n Must hold PIP Level 1 accreditation.\n Demonstrable experience of complex information gathering and problem solving.\n \n If you would like to be considered for this position and have the relevant experience, then please apply now
