International Transport Planner

to join their busy planning team based in

Coventry . This is an excellent opportunity for a transport professional with a background in

FTL and LTL planning within an express freight environment , particularly those with experience managing

UKIreland movements

using their own fleet of

40ft articulated vehicles . The Role

Working within the UK to Ireland planning team, you will play a key role in coordinating international import and export operations, ensuring efficient vehicle utilisation and maintaining excellent customer service standards. Key responsibilities include: Managing daily transport planning for international road freight movements

Allocating vehicles and trailers and issuing clear instructions to drivers

Liaising with customers via phone and email to provide updates and resolve queries

Receiving and booking transport orders from clients

Monitoring consignments and communicating proactively with customers

Handling POD administration and job pricing

Ensuring compliance with driver hours, breaks, and loading regulations

About You

To be considered, candidates should demonstrate: A minimum of

2 years experience in international road freight transport planning

using 40ft articulated vehicles

Experience in

FTL and LTL planning

within a fast-paced environment

A solid understanding of

driver hours, breaks, and loading limits

Strong IT skills and excellent written and spoken English (second language welcome)

Previous experience on the

UKIreland lane

(highly desirable)

Basic knowledge of

UKIreland customs procedures

(advantageous but not essential)

Experience handling

temperature-controlled or pharmaceutical goods

would be beneficial, although full training will be provided to support compliance requirements. Working Hours

Monday to Friday, with flexible shift patterns aligned to business needs

Office operating hours:

06:00

20:00

Contracted hours:

42.5 hours per week

Following training,

one Saturday in five

will be required (with a day off in lieu the previous week)
