Due to an internal promotion my client a B2B Trade Distributor of Professional and Commercial Audio, Lighting, Video, Special Effects and Ancillary products are looking for an Internal Technical Salesperson to join the friendly team.
If you aware of AV, audio and video great or they will consider people with a technical background from industries including networks, public address systems, fire alarms/security systems, electrical wholesalers, or electrical components (including retail)

About the role
As an Internal Technical Salesperson based in a busy office you will be required to converse with customers via telephone and email daily, supporting and reacting to their requirements, following up quotes, sales leads and opportunities.
Utilising your technical knowledge and experience you will be required to assist customers and less-technical colleagues to identify the right products for the application and assist with design and specification. The Responsibilities include:
Respond to and support customer requirements via phone and email
Proactively follow up sales opportunities and leads via phone and email
Respond to new sales enquiries, customers and referrals from suppliers
Maintain a friendly and helpful service to our trade customers
Build relationships with customers and suppliers
Assist customers and colleagues to identify the correct products for the application
Assist with design and specification of sound, lighting and video systems
Increase sales revenue where possible by up-selling as appropriate
Support customer after-sales enquiries in liaison with customer service department
Assist sales administration functions as appropriate
Focus on both individual and company sales targets
Visit customer and suppliers as necessary from time to time
Attend on and off-site training from time to time to support and develop role
About You
A good basic level of education (i.e. schooling / further education)
Strong degree of knowledge of audio, lighting and / or visual products preferably (but not essentially) in commercial applications
Technical experience and preferably qualifications in the field of audio, lighting and visual products
