Job Description
Location:Birmingham\nContract Type: Fixed-Term\nStart Date: August 2026\nDuration: 13 Months\nWorking Pattern: Monday–Friday (with weekend work on a rota when required)\n\nProject Overview\n\nThis project involves the demolition of an existing office building and the construction of a new 6-storey development comprising 207 student accommodation units, scheduled to open in September 2027.\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to take full ownership of the internal works package. This includes bathroom pods, drylining, MEP, decorating, floor finishes, firestopping, and FF&E.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join a hands-on development team and play a key role in delivering a fast-paced, high-quality scheme.\n\nSupport Structure\n\nYou will be supported by:\n\nA Site Manager overseeing the external works\n\nA Procurement Manager managing goods and services\n\nA full professional consultant team for design matters\n\nA Construction Director overseeing programme, development, and commercial aspects\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nYour day-to-day duties will include (but are not limited to):\n\nInducting new contractors onto site\n\nEnsuring full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations\n\nManaging site logistics and coordination\n\nParticipating in design team meetings and identifying design issues\n\nMonitoring works against the agreed construction programme\n\nCoordinating trades on site, ensuring clear instructions are issued and documented\n\nAttending progress meetings and setting clear milestones\n\nTaking proactive action to maintain programme timelines\n\nUndertaking QA audits using Viewpoint\n\nWorking closely with the operations team to ensure a smooth handover\n\nReporting progress to the Construction Director, including daily site photography\n\nSnagging contractor works and compiling defect lists\n\nAbout You\n\nProven experience as a Site Manager delivering internal fit-out packages on large-scale construction projects\n\nStrong knowledge of internal trades including MEP, drylining, finishes, and FF&E\n\nExcellent organisational and communication skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines\n\nThorough understanding of health & safety regulations, particularly CDM 2015\n\nProactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nWork on a flagship development in a key UK city\n\nJoin a collaborative and experienced project team\n\nOpportunity to take real ownership of a major project package\n\nIf you are a motivated Site Manager looking to play a key role in delivering a high-profile development, we would love to hear from you.\n\nApply now to be part of delivering high-quality living spaces.\n\nBMG01
