INTERIM HEAD OF CAPITAL PROJECTS & FM

Park Avenue are pleased to be working with a Local Authority who require an Interim Head of Capital Projects & FM.

You'll oversee the schools' projects, up to £2m per site, along with a few commercial projects (offices). In terms of managing the FM team, you'll review the existing contracts and ensure they're working effectively and suggest opportunities to improve efficiency and cost savings. You'll also take on the legacy contracts, tendering new contracts and ensuring there's a futureproof 3-5 year plan in place. This role is covering all the Council's Operational and Commercial assets, not Residential.

This role is an initial 6 month contract, with you likely to receive an extension should a permanent replacement not be found.

You can work on a hybrid basis, 3 days per week in office as a minimum.

Key criteria the hiring managers are looking for:

• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders - with evidence at interview if possible
• Examples of improved service delivery having worked in a position.
• Can commit to site inspections with the team when required.
• Experience managing teams of compliance, repairs and safety professionals.

Candidates who have Local Authority experience will be prioritised.
