Group Management Accountant – PE-Backed Technology Business – London – £300–£450/day inside IR35 - 12 month contract - ASAP start

We are working with a private equity-backed technology business undergoing a period of continued growth and operational change. They are looking to bring in an interim Management Accountant to support the finance function through a busy and evolving period.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, with strong ownership of the month-end process and the ability to partner closely with non-finance teams.

The Role

You will take ownership of core management accounting responsibilities, while also supporting the business in understanding performance across key areas of the P&L.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full ownership of month-end close, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Preparation of management accounts and board reporting with clear variance analysis
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Partnering with teams across the business (including operations, product and commercial) to understand performance drivers
• Analysis of gross margin, cost drivers and profitability, providing insight into movements and trends
• Supporting improvements in process, controls and reporting in a growing finance function

What we’re looking for

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong experience in management accounting within a fast-moving business
• Exposure to margin analysis, cost allocation, inventory, WIP or project-based accounting
• Comfortable working with large data sets and multiple systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics)
• Proven ability to operate in a high-growth, changing environment
• Confident communicator, able to work with non-finance stakeholders

Experience in technology, SaaS, product-led or PE-backed businesses would be highly advantageous.
