Senior Manager Interim Finance Solutions at Marks Sattin Duration: 12 months Location: Birmingham Working Pattern: Hybrid (2-3 days office based) Marks Sattin is partnering with a leading organisation in Birmingham to recruit an Interim Group Financial Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract. The Group Financial Accountant will have broad exposure across both internal and external reporting, with particular emphasis on IFRS 16 lease accounting and impairment reviews. Key Responsibilities include:

Supporting periodic group consolidations, including consolidated balance sheet and cash flow for management accounts. Leading the preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts and contribute to interim and annual consolidated reports. IFRS 16 lease accounting: Taking ownership of processing and reporting lease accounting entries, maintaining control accounts, and producing disclosure notes for statutory reporting. Managing the impairment review process at half year and year end, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Documenting and performing controls around impairment and assist in monitoring financial controls across the department. Acting as a key liaison with external auditors, providing information and resolving queries. Maintaining up to date knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS standards to ensure compliance across subsidiary and consolidated accounts. Assisting with balance sheet and cash flow reporting, fixed asset accounting, implementation of new standards, and accounting for acquisitions/disposals.

To be considered you must:

Strong technical accounting skills, with knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, particularly IFRS 16 Leases. Experience in group consolidations. Advanced Excel skills. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines. Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with confidence in liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
