Location: S60 Rotherham (Hybrid minimum 2 days office-based)
We are recruiting an experienced General Practice Chartered Surveyor to support a local authoritys Estates Team on an interim basis until 31 March 2026.
This is a key role providing professional surveying, valuation and estate management expertise to help deliver the Councils priorities and manage its diverse property portfolio.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
Acquisitions and disposals of land and property.
General estate management including rent reviews, lease renewals and landlord/tenant matters.
Supporting the ongoing Community Buildings Review.
Carrying out and contributing to valuation work, including statutory valuations (subject to RICS Registered Valuer sign-off where required).
Providing professional surveying advice across departments.
Preparing reports, liaising with internal stakeholders, and representing the Council on property matters.
This role sits within a busy, forward-thinking Estates Team that manages a significant commercial portfolio and undertakes wide-ranging strategic property work.
RequirementsIdeally MRICS qualified (General Practice/Commercial Property).
Strong background in valuation, estate management and general practice work.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Able to attend the office in S60 at least 2 days per week.
