Led by an experienced senior management team who have achieved consistent year on year growth, they are currently looking to recruit an Interim Financial Controller to cover maternity leave for a period of circa 12-15 months.This process has been carefully planned in advance and ideally they are looking for someone who can start relatively quickly, initially to provide support and stability to the transactional team as they work towards a new ERP implementation in June, then shadowing the Financial Controller prior to maternity leave commencing August onwards. This role would suit an experienced accountant comfortable joining a business going through a period of change and willing to work closely with a finance team ensuring all bank reconciliations, sales invoicing, purchase ledger, payment runs etc are handled correctly and supporting month end procedures, before transitioning to provide full cover for the Financial Controller. Reporting to the Directors you will carry responsibility for all the day to day accounting needs of the business, supervising a small team your main duties as Financial Controller will be:Managing internal controls and financial processes.Inventory control, updating costs, stock counts, valuations etc.Cashflow forecasting and managing working capitalPreparing annual budget and departmental forecastsMonthly preparation of management accountsSupporting CAPEX processes and investment appraisalsOngoing control of costs and overheadsSales and profitability analysisMonthly VAT returns, PAYE and HMR liaisonPreparing the year end accounts and audit filesLevel of knowledge and experience:Previous experience of a financial management or senior management accountant / financial controller level roleCIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified although strong QBE applicants will also be considered.Technically proficient with MS Office products, particularly ExcelIdeally experienced with ERP systems, implantation / upgradesPrevious experience of working in the manufacturing and supply sector would be idealThe ideal candidate profile would be an enthusiastic, positive and driven individual able to collaborate with team members whilst also having the willingness to take ownership of issues and provide solutions.
