We are delighted to be exclusively recruiting an Interim Financial Controller on a 6-month initial contract for one of the UK's most exciting renewable energy businesses.
\n
\n
Backed by a renowned Private Equity firm, our client has become renowned within the Renewable Energy & Power sector. With a headcount of around 75 and continuing to grow exponentially, our client is looking for an Interim Financial Controller to join for a 6-month contract to work closely with the CFO and lead the reporting and control team. There is scope for this to transfer to permanent role longer term, should the successful candidate impress.

The Role

\n
Reporting directly into a talented CFO, you will be leading the reporting in control team whilst remaining very hands on with the day-to-day accounting processes. On top of this, they are looking for someone who is driven by the chance to make significant improvements to processes.

\n
Responsibilities
\n
\n
\n Lead the reporting & control team.
\n
Ensure robust financial controls
\n
Ensure the smooth running of daily financial operations.
\n
Streamline Reporting Process.
\n
Multi-entity consolidations.
\n
Ensure compliance to financial and tax regulations.
\n
Work closely with the CFO, and exposure to investor reporting.
\n
\n
\n
Essential Skills
\n
\n
\n Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
\n
1-2 years industry experience in a Financial Controller position.
\n
Proven experience managing a controls team.
\n
Prior experience of investor reporting, ideally in a PE backed business.
\n
Ability to work effectively independent and also as part of a wider team.
\n
Problem solver.
\n
\n
\n
Bonus skills
\n
\n
\n Top 10 accounting practice background.
\n
Any experience working for infrastructure providers (Telco, Power, Utilities) would be of benefit.
\n
\n
\n
Day Rate £450-£600/day (Outside IR35)
\n
\n
Location: London or Milton Keynes (Hybrid)
\n
\n
Start Date: Early September.
\n
\n
