Interim Financial Accountant - Liverpool

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a large, well-established UK organisation to appoint a Financial Accountant into their central finance function on a 12 month fixed term contract. Based in Liverpool , this role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, high-performing finance team supporting multiple UK business units. This opportunity would suit a technically strong Interim Financial Accountant who enjoys period-end ownership, balance sheet control and working closely with Treasury and Tax colleagues in a complex, multi-entity environment. Key Responsibilities: Run and support period-end accounting processes, ensuring deadlines are met accurately Maintain strong financial controls across the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and support VAT and other statutory returns Reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple group entities Support foreign currency management, including hedge accounting Working capital and cash flow reporting and analysis Discount analysis, reporting and control activities Respond to ad-hoc reporting requirements from wider finance teams Build strong relationships with central and site-based finance teams, including Treasury and Tax About You: Available immediately or within 4 weeks and be commited to a 12 month contract Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) xehkeey Strong technical accounting background with a clear focus on controls and compliance Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines Confident communicator and relationship builder across finance and non-finance stakeholders Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP or large ERP Systems highly desirable Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 9, 15, 16) would be advantageous Interviews will be taking place shortly.
