We are supporting a well-established and commercially focused business in Hessle with the appointment of an Interim Commercial Finance Manager for an initial 6-month contract. This role sits at the heart of the business, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and operational leaders to drive performance, insight and decision-making.

The assignment has a strong FP&A, forecasting and financial modelling focus and would suit a commercially minded finance professional who can add value quickly.

Key Responsibilities

FP&A & Forecasting

\n\n

\n\t
• Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts and reforecasts
\n\t
• Build and maintain robust financial models to support decision-making
\n\t
• Deliver variance analysis with clear, actionable insight
\n\t
• Support long-range planning and scenario modelling
\n

\n\n

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

\n\n

\n\t
• Act as a key finance business partner to operational and commercial teams
\n\t
• Provide profitability analysis by product, contract or customer
\n\t
• Support pricing decisions, investment cases and margin improvement initiatives
\n\t
• Translate financial data into meaningful insight for non-finance stakeholders
\n

\n\n

Reporting & Performance

\n\n

\n\t
• Produce timely and accurate management reporting and KPIs
\n\t
• Improve the quality, clarity and usefulness of commercial reporting
\n\t
• Support month-end close with a focus on performance and insight
\n

\n\n

Process & Improvement

\n\n

\n\t
• Review and improve forecasting, planning and reporting processes
\n\t
• Support development of models, dashboards and decision-support tools
\n\t
• Contribute to wider finance transformation or change initiatives

Candidate Profile

\n\n

\n\t
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience
\n\t
• Proven experience in a Commercial Finance / FP&A role
\n\t
• Strong financial modelling and forecasting capability
\n\t
• Confident business partner able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
\n\t
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar tools beneficial
\n\t
• Available at short notice and comfortable in an interim environment
\n
