The Typhoon Cockpit Team:

The Typhoon is the UK's primary multi-role combat aircraft and plays a vital role in maintaining national and allied security. The Typhoon Cockpit Group is currently looking to welcome an Interface Design Engineer (HMI/UX)to the team.

Our mission is to ensure that Typhoon pilots have the right information, in the right format, at the right time-especially in high-intensity, operational environments. We achieve this by designing effective Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) that combine visual displays, intuitive controls, and tailored audio alerts to support fast and accurate pilot decision-making. A well-considered cockpit layout is essential to maximise performance and pilot effectiveness.

As part of the team, you'll have access to cutting-edge simulation tools-including in-house simulators and a full-scale, immersive Typhoon cockpit environment. These are used to test and refine our designs through customer assessments and flight trials, giving you the rare opportunity to experience the pilot's perspective first-hand.

We actively support professional development, and there are clear opportunities for career growth both within the Cockpit Group and across the wider business.
