Integration Delivery Lead (IMO)

Location: London (3–4 days onsite)

Contract: Outside IR35

Day Rate: £900 (flexible for the right individual)

Start: Immediate


Context

Insurance business has recently completed a strategic acquisition and successfully delivered Day 1 integration.

The Integration Management Office (IMO) was established with support from big 4 consulting firm and has put in place the initial governance, structure, and programme design.

As the business transitions into sustained delivery, they are now rolling off consulting support and building internal capability.

This role sits at the centre of that transition.


The Role

You will operate as an extension of IMO leadership, stepping into a position previously held by a senior Big 4 consultant.

This is not a traditional PMO role.

You will be responsible for ensuring that integration delivery remains structured, visible, and progressing across multiple complex workstreams, working directly with senior stakeholders across the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive exec-level reporting and governance cadence across the integration
  • Synthesise inputs from multiple programmes into a clear, actionable delivery narrative
  • Support IMO leadership in driving accountability across C-suite stakeholders
  • Maintain pace and structure across a highly dynamic, multi-stream integration
  • Rapidly produce board-ready materials at short notice
  • Navigate organisational complexity, including international governance and stakeholder alignment


Programme Scope

The integration spans multiple core workstreams, including:

  • Lloyd’s platform consolidation
  • Bermuda integration
  • Operational and infrastructure integration (e.g. systems, locations, service entities)
  • Target Operating Model (TOM) design and longer-term transformation planning


Profile

  • Experience operating within an Integration Management Office (IMO) on a live integration
  • A background in consulting (ex big 4), combined with hands-on delivery experience
  • Experience in Lloyd’s insurance market environments
  • Proven ability to operate at C-suite level
  • Strong capability in structuring ambiguity into clear delivery outputs
  • A bias for action,comfortable working at pace with incomplete information
  • Has worked in post-Day 1 integration environments
  • Can balance challenge and collaboration with senior stakeholders
  • Enjoys operating in high-pressure, high-visibility roles
  • Is comfortable being “in the engine room” of a complex integration
