Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer – Operator Secondment Opportunity
Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Start: January
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer to join a major Export Compressor UCP Upgrade project supporting a zero-routine-flaring initiative.
This role involves being seconded directly into the operator’s project team, providing technical leadership and engineering oversight throughout the upgrade.
Key Responsibilities
Provide senior-level Controls & Instrumentation engineering support to a major compressor UCP upgrade.
Review design deliverables, technical documents, and vendor packages.
Support project integration, testing, commissioning and assurance activities.
Collaborate closely with operations, projects and engineering teams to ensure safe and compliant execution.
Provide technical input throughout project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with industry standards and offshore requirements.
Requirements 10+ years’ Controls & Instrumentation engineering and project experience (offshore experience ).
Strong background in compressor controls, instrumentation systems, and project delivery.
Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline; Chartered status .
Offshore certification (BOSIET) is a must.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
