Mechanical Installations Manager

Salary Up to £60,000 depending on experience

Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Installations Manager to oversee mechanical installation works across commercial solar PV projects throughout the UK.

This role involves managing Mechanical Leads and installation teams responsible for mounting systems and panel installation on commercial and public sector projects. The successful candidate will ensure installation works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project timelines.

The position involves Monday to Friday site work with regular staying away depending on project location. A staying away allowance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical installation works across commercial solar PV projects • Supervise Mechanical Leads and their installation teams on site • Coordinate installation of mounting systems, panel structures and associated mechanical works • Ensure installations are completed safely and in line with project specifications • Monitor installation progress and maintain programme timelines • Work closely with electrical teams, project managers and subcontractors • Ensure all works comply with site health and safety procedures • Support planning and coordination of labour and installation resources

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience managing mechanical installation teams • Experience delivering commercial solar PV or large scale construction installations • CSCS card required • Strong leadership and site coordination experience • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications

• Working at Height certification • Solar PV installation experience • SSSTS or SMSTS • Experience managing installation teams on commercial or public sector projects
