Injection Moulding Setter As an Injection Moulding Setter, you will be responsible for the setting, conditioning, and optimisation of injection moulding tools to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will work to achieve

£18.00 per hour Hours

Monday to Friday, 10:00pm

6:00am Key Responsibilities

Set, change, and condition injection mould tools in line with production requirements.

Start up and shut down machines safely and efficiently.

Optimise processes to achieve quality, cycle time, and scrap targets.

Respond to machine alarms and faults, carrying out first-line fault finding and corrective actions.

Ensure processing parameters are set and controlled to approved standards.

Conduct tool and process trials where required.

Carry out quality checks and ensure parts meet specification.

Prepare and connect auxiliary equipment (dryers, robots, conveyors, temperature controllers, etc.).

Accurately complete production and traceability records.

Safely handle materials and ensure correct material usage.

Maintain production and quality records.

Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter or Technician.

Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes, tooling, and materials.

Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.

IMT Level 2 or equivalent (desirable).

Knowledge of tool trials and process optimisation (advantageous).

Strong attention to detail and quality focus.

Good communication skills.

A continuous improvement mindset.
