Tech Migration Lead - End-to-end JIRA cloud migration - sought by leading investment bank based in London - Contract - Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end Jira Cloud migration waves, including discovery, mapping, sandbox dry-runs, cutover, validation, and aftercare
Own migration governance including RAID management, dependency tracking, GO / NO-GO forums, and auditable evidence packs
Enforce adoption of a single Jira Cloud target operating model (templates, workflows, permissions, plugins) and manage exceptions
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across technology and business teams, managing resistance to standardisation
Define data retention and archival strategies for historical Jira content in line with regulatory requirements
Produce executive-level reporting, dashboards, and KPIs aligned to PPM and regulatory oversight needs
Oversee Jira Cloud integrations and app strategy (e.g. ScriptRunner, Advanced Roadmaps, Zephyr, Git integrations)
Develop and continuously improve migration runbooks, standards, and delivery cadence to drive predictable outcomes
Support training, communications, and user enablement to ensure smooth post-migration adoption
Required Experience & Skills
Significant experience leading complex technology migrations within regulated or enterprise environments
Strong hands-on knowledge of
Jira (Data Center & Cloud)
and related Atlassian tooling
Experience with Jira administration, APIs, scripting (e.g. Python), and migration tooling
Proven ability to run governance forums, manage cutovers, and deliver time-boxed migration waves
Experience producing executive reporting and defining migration success metrics
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail clearly
Financial services or large, global enterprise experience strongly preferred
