Interim Infrastructure & Real Estate Projects Lawyer

Location: London (Hybrid working offered)

Type: Interim (initial 3-month contract)

The Opportunity

We’re working with a top-tier law firm on an interim hire for their Infrastructure & Real Estate Projects team. This is an exciting chance to work on nationally significant energy and transport projects, combining property law expertise with project delivery and regulatory insight

Role Highlights

Advise on land rights and consenting for large-scale infrastructure projects. Handle compulsory purchase powers (Transport Works Act Orders, CPOs, Development Consent Orders) and related processes (GVD, notice to treat/entry). Provide guidance on land law, landlord & tenant law, land registration, property tax, and environmental issues (e.g., contaminated land). Advise public bodies on administrative law and regulatory issues in an infrastructure context. Manage portfolio transactions, supervise paralegals, and deliver projects to tight timelines.

Ideal Candidate

Strong real estate background with experience in major infrastructure projects. Knowledge of compulsory purchase regimes and statutory powers. Familiarity with construction and environmental issues affecting property transactions. Excellent project management and client-facing skills.
