Joining Merseyside Police means making a real differenceevery day, in every role.What Youll Be DoingAs a Student Placement within Information Communications Technology (ICT), you will support the team with a range of tasks, which may include:Agreeing the most appropriate technical solution(s) to meet business reporting and analytics needsUnderstanding, interpreting, and navigating complex database structures across multiple systemsExtracting, transforming, and validating data from relational and non-relational data sourcesDeveloping, optimising, and maintaining efficient and scalable SQL queries, stored procedures, and viewsBuilding and maintaining SSRS reports, Power BI dashboards, and SSAS cubes to deliver insights across the businessYour work will contribute directly to the departments objectives and provide valuable real-world experience.What Were Looking ForWe welcome applications from students who are currently studying for a degree in relevant subject areas:Computer ScienceInformation Systems / Information TechnologySoftware EngineeringData Science & AnalyticsArtificial Intelligence & Machine LearningCloud ComputingBusiness Information ManagementWe welcome applications from students who:Have strong communication and organisational skillsAre proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a teamCan bring fresh ideas, curiosity, and a willingness to get involvedAre confident using IT systems and open to developing new technical skillsNo prior experience is necessary training and support will be provided.JBRP1_UKTJ
