Imports Operations / Freight Coordinator
to join an established team
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate FCL import and export shipments with a range of global carriers Arrange collections with transport providers and liner shipping companies Manage shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading, invoices, and pre-alerts to overseas offices Track and trace shipments, ensuring timely updates to clients and partners Support customs processes, including completion of import/export entries Maintain compliance with company procedures and industry regulations Assist with general operational duties as required by the supervisor
Essential Criteria
Previous experience in freight forwarding, particularly ocean imports is require Strong understanding of import/export processes and customs procedure Experience liaising with shipping lines, co-loaders, and transport providers (including online booking systems) Excellent communication skills, both written and verba Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of container loading processes Experience using CNS or similar freight operating systems Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to work occasional overtime if require Professional telephone manner and customer-focused approach
