Job Description
My client is a contractor looking for an experienced and qualified A/C Engineer to to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance across our UK retail contract portfolio. While the role is air-conditioning focused, a multi-skilled approach with solid mechanical and electrical (M&E) knowledge is essential.\n\nAs an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will provide planned and reactive maintenance to a variety of retail environments, ensuring all HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with service standards.\n\nYou will work both independently and alongside other engineers or subcontractors to maintain optimal conditions in customer-facing spaces.\n\nBenefits will include:\n\nCompetitive starting salary £44k\n47.5 hour week Monday - Friday \n26 days holiday (+ bank holidays)\nGenerous pension contribution\nLife assurance \nVan + Fuel Card Responsibilities:\n\nWorking on a portfolio of mixed commercial retail sites \nCovering Leicester region.\nCarrying out all the servicing & maintenance of commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration units\nWorking on Various Air conditioning systems - VRV / VRFs, split & multi-split systems\nAs a service engineer you will cover air handling, air con & refrigeration\nComplete all paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner\nAdhere to Health & Safety guidelinesMy client is keen to meet with individuals with the following:\n\nNVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (minimum requirement).\nF-Gas Certification (C&G 2079 - Category 1) - mandatory.\nStrong knowledge of air conditioning systems and general mechanical building services.\nPrevious experience in a mobile commercial or retail maintenance role.\nExcellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills with a proactive, customer-focused attitude.\n (maximum 6 penalty points).\nNVQ Level 3 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.Randstad CPE values and promotes equality.
