Are you a passionate Regional HR Advisor ready to make a real difference?
Family First Nurseries is eagerly seeking a dynamic individual to join our team and supercharge our people agenda! You'll be at the heart of our operations, providing expert ER advisory support and empowering our site management to tackle issues with confidence and efficiency.
You'll report directly to our dynamic Head of People Operations, playing a pivotal role in supporting approximately 35 thriving nurseries. Get ready to hit the road, as a driving license is essential for this role. You’ll be travelling to our nurseries in and around London along with our head office in Welwyn Garden City. This isn't just a role; it's a chance to connect with a wide network and truly make an impact.
Embrace the best of both worlds! This dynamic role offers fantastic flexibility with a hybrid working model. You'll spend one engaging day a week at our Head office, collaborating with the team. The remaining four days are yours to shape with an exciting mix of impactful site visits and convenient remoteworking.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist and support Managers in HR activities where appropriate, including grievance and disciplinary processes, absence reviews, performance management, pay and benefits.
- Provide advice on HR policies and procedures, including the implications of employment law and practices.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with all sensitive data.
- Assist and support the colleague lifecycle from starter to leaver including recruitment, employment contracts, induction, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, pay and benefits.
- Work with management teams to improve working relationships, build morale and increase productivity & retention.
- Work with the HR team to develop and roll out training initiatives as required.
- Promote continuous improvement of our employment practices through building a detailed knowledge of our operations and close working relationships with the Nursery Director and their Area Managers.
- Support the development of organisational capability and professionalism across your region.
- Work with the HR team on specific HR projects as required e.g. acquisitions/TUPE.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years HR Advisory experience.
- Ability to solve business problems pragmatically and at speed – assimilating issues and ideas into clear requirements, generating solutions based on own insight or learning.
- Strong technical Human Resources expertise including in-depth knowledge & understanding of HR work on the ground.
- Stakeholder Management – experience of developing strong relationships and managing challenging conversations.
- Ability to plan and deliver strategy, using data to effectively inform strategy, measure impact, and drive quality.
