About The Role
We're looking for a highly organised and dependable HR Recruitment Administrator to take ownership of our new starter onboarding process from offer through to day one. You'll make sure every pre-employment check is completed on time, every record is accurate, and every new joiner feels supported and informed throughout.
This is a compliance-critical role that sits within our HR team and operates within a regulated children's services environment. You'll be someone who takes real pride in getting the details right, stays calm under pressure, and understands that great administration makes a direct difference to the people we serve.
What You'll Be Doing
Communicating proactively with candidates throughout their onboarding journey to ensure a smooth, positive experience
Completing all Safer Recruitment pre-employment checks, including DBS, Right to Work, references and full employment history
Creating accurate employee records with the correct contracts, locations and management access assigned
Setting up all relevant systems and ordering equipment such as ID badges and laptops ahead of each start date
Keeping the onboarding tracker accurate and up to date, with regular progress updates to managers and new recruits
Escalating any concerns or anomalies in the onboarding process immediately
Ensuring strict compliance with Data Protection legislation across all activity
Providing ad-hoc front-office and reception cover, including welcoming visitors and preparing meeting rooms
Supporting the wider team with additional duties as required
What We're Looking For
Strong administration skills, comfortable managing high volumes of repetitive tasks accurately and to deadline
Experience in a similar administrative role, ideally supporting a diverse workforce (desirable but not essential)
Exceptional attention to detail, able to work accurately at pace without cutting corners
Resourceful and proactive, with the ability to spot problems early and bring solutions with you
You demonstrate complete professionalism and discretion at all times, with a genuine respect for confidentiality
You are committed to upholding Data Protection principles and Safer Recruitment requirements in everything you do
