Overview
We are seeking an experienced
HR Advisor - Labour Relations
to join the team at BAE Systems, based in Warton, Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regulated, unionised environment, supporting key labour relations activities across a complex organisation.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering labour relations strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders and trade union representatives to ensure effective collaboration and compliance with employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities Support the development and delivery of
labour relations strategy
aligned to business objectives Build and maintain effective relationships with
trade unions
and employee representatives Provide expert guidance on
employment legislation , including the
Employment Rights Act Support the
Head of Labour Relations
on key initiatives, negotiations, and casework Advise managers on employee relations matters, ensuring best practice and consistency Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement of HR processes Assist with dispute resolution, consultations, and organisational change activity Skills & Experience Proven experience in a
labour relations or employee relations HR role Strong understanding of
UK employment law , particularly within unionised environments Experience working with
trade unions and collective agreements Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to operate in a
complex, fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and negotiation capabilities Qualifications
Degree in
Human Resources
or a related discipline CIPD qualification (desirable) Why Join?
